VIVIENNE DICK

VIEWING ROOM

Filmmaker, artist and photographer Vivienne Dick is internationally renowned for her explorations of identity and place, particularly in the seeming polar opposites of Downtown NY and rural Ireland. Nevertheless, Dick draws out the commonalities and celebrates individual, collective and communal identity, as well as now focussing on our increasingly fraught relationship with our home here on Earth. Originally using a 35mm camera before learning the art of film-making, Dick has recently returned to print-making, by trawling through reels of super 8 and digital frames, looking for pictures that can stand by themselves as stills. It is these print works that we are proud to represent here. All images are digitally printed and signed by the artist in editions of 9. Please contact Lux for film screenings.
