We have recently chanced upon a cache of copies of Simon Fisher Turner’s wonderful In A Pure Land 12” which was a response by Simon to our eponymously titled 2009 group exhibition, featuring sculptural work by Nayland Blake, Alyson Shotz and Martin Griffiths. Each track on the 12” responds to the work of each artist.

Simon is most well known as the composer of soundtracks for Derek Jarman, and has been a recording artist for Mute Records for over thirty years.

The 12” vinyl is completely clear, with no label or runout groove inscription. One side also has a ‘double track’ so you don’t know what you’re going to hear.

The Signed Edition copies are signed by Simon and numbered from the original edition of 333 copies. The presentation of the edition refers to the exhibited sculpture by Martin Griffiths.
